Forms and payment are due Dec. 31

Thank you to all physicians who have already completed their 2021 renewal!

Haven’t had a chance yet?
Not a problem, just be sure to complete your renewal before Dec. 31, 2020. To find out what you need to do, visit the physician portal.

Benefits of early renewal
Completing your renewal early will avoid late fees, which are $500 for your practice permit and $200 for your professional corporation (PC) permit.* It also saves us time and resources in processing renewals.

Reminder: If you are paying by cheque, please make sure to account for mail processing and delivery time.

*Remember, only the designated physician for a Professional Corporation completes the PC renewal on behalf of all shareholders.

Questions about your renewal?
Email annual.billing@cpsa.ab.ca or call 780-969-4925 (Edmonton and area) or 1-877-629-3787 (toll-free in North America). We’re available Monday-Friday, 8:15 a.m. – 4:15 p.m. MT. Please note our offices are closed from noon on Dec. 24, 2020 until 8:15 a.m. on Jan. 4, 2021. See when and how to get help.

Retiring or withdrawing from practice before 2021?
You still need to complete your Renewal Information Form (RIF). The form will be much shorter, but will provide us with necessary contact information.

Patient Relations Module also due Dec. 31

The Patient Relations: Part 1 module is also due Dec. 31, 2020. This training is required under Alberta’s Health Professions Act (HPA), and is necessary to renew your CPSA practice permit. The module takes approximately 30 minutes to complete and is eligible for CPD credits.

Can’t remember if you did it? Simply log in to the module and go to the overview page. If fully completed, you will see the option to print your course certificate at the top of the page.
