Dr. Ali Nsair guilty of unprofessional conduct for failing to respond to CPSA

Dr. Ali Nsair was found guilty of unprofessional conduct by a CPSA Hearing Tribunal after he was accused of not responding to communications from CPSA and failing to complete mandatory training.

Background

Evidence showed that CPSA made significant efforts to engage with Dr. Nsair, but he consistently failed to complete a mandatory Patient Relations education module, did not respond to CPSA on multiple occasions and did not cooperate with subsequent investigations into his conduct.

The Tribunal found this amounted to unprofessional conduct under the Health Professions Act (HPA). They emphasized that regulated members have a duty to respond to CPSA and cooperate with investigations, as it is crucial to the principle of self-regulation and maintaining public trust in the profession. The Tribunal’s written decision can be reviewed in full on CPSA’s website.

Dr. Nsair did not attend the hearing. The Tribunal will consider appropriate orders or sanctions at a later date.
