Back to MessengerDr. Wequar Ahmad found guilty of unprofessional conduct
Dr. Wequar Ahmad, a general practitioner from Calgary, was found guilty of unprofessional conduct by a CPSA hearing tribunal after failing to comply with a CPSA undertaking, creating false entries on the chart of a patient, and engaging in a sexual relationship with a patient. Dr. Ahmad was also found guilty of having failed to report his sexual relationship with his patient on his 2018 annual renewal information form.

The hearing tribunal will reconvene at a later date to determine Dr. Ahmad’s sanction. Dr. Ahmad has not been in practice since 2018.
