2024 annual renewal now open until Dec. 31
Back to MessengerRead time: 1 minute
The 2024 annual renewal for physicians and physician assistants runs from Nov. 1. to Dec. 31, 2023.
Log into your CPSA Portal to complete your renewal information form (RIF), professional corporation information form (PCIF), if applicable, and payment by Dec. 31, 2023. Make your renewal easier by signing up for our Pre-Authorized Payment (PAP) plan by Nov. 23, 2023—payment is withdrawn automatically on Dec. 1, 2023. Not only does the PAP plan mean less work for you to complete payment after a one-time sign up, but it also means that CPSA avoids paying approximately $45 in merchant processing fees associated with receiving payment by credit card. Signing up for our PAP plan helps reduce processing fees to just $1, meaning more funds are allocated to CPSA programs that help support the practise of safe, high-quality care in Alberta.
To ensure consistent and accurate data for CPSA records and the Physician Search tool, you will be required to re-enter your primary practice location, and, if applicable, additional practice locations using a newly implemented Canada Post search function. When using this tool, you will need to enter the physical address of your practice location and click on the accurate address generated in the drop-down menu. Entering a clinic name may not generate results. If the physical address you enter does not generate accurate results in the drop down menu, please enter your practice’s corresponding PO Box if applicable.
Completing your RIF fully, thoughtfully and on time is necessary to maintain your practice permit and ensure your patients continue to receive safe, high-quality care.
