Approved sponsors can include individuals, organizations, corporations and/or other entities who hold a valid Sponsorship Approval Letter from CPSA. This letter permits them to sponsor a physician position(s) in their desired community. Approved sponsors must have signed a legal contract with CPSA to act as a sponsor.

The colleague (who ideally has some experience with PCAs or medical learner assessments) would need to provide you with their assessment findings and you submit the reporting on their behalf. If you do not have a colleague who can cover for you during the time you are in the ER, we may have to extend an applicant’s PCA past the 3-months to make up for the time you spend in the ER without the applicant. When a clinical colleague is identified we must confirm that they meet our assessor criteria and that they have no conflict of interest with the applicant.
