Dr. Stephanie Mason’s practice permit cancelation

Edmonton, AB – Dr. Stephanie Mason, a psychiatrist from Calgary, Alberta, has retired from practising medicine and her practice permit has been cancelled pursuant to section 54 of the Health Professions Act.

CPSA received five complaints against Dr. Mason on June 23, 2016, September 1, 2016, October 17, 2016, December 20, 2018 and January 30, 2020. One of these complaints was dismissed and the remaining complaints were resolved in accordance with paragraph 55(1) (a.1) of the Health Professions Act on the consent of Dr. Mason and the complainants.

Dr. Mason has agreed not to apply for re-instatement with CPSA or apply for registration or renewal of registration with any other professional regulatory authority governing the practise of medicine elsewhere in Canada.
