2022 CPSA Council Elections: Key upcoming dates

CPSA Council is made up of regulated members elected by the profession and public members appointed by government. Each year, the profession has the opportunity to elect new regulated members to CPSA Council to replace those who step down from Council or have come to the end of their term.
The following are key dates for this year’s election, including nominations, which officially open on Aug. 17.

Sept. 21 | Voting opens |
Oct. 19 | Voting closes |
Nov. 10 | New Councillors officially announced in The Messenger |
Jan. 1, 2023 | New Councillors start their terms |
Running for Council is a great opportunity to share your diverse experience with CPSA and the profession while gaining leadership and governance skills. We encourage any regulated member on the General Register, Provisional Register or Limited Practice Register to run, whether a physician, surgeon, osteopath or physician assistant, so long as you meet the eligibility requirements.
