It is abhorrent to think that medical professionals should be expected to violate their consciences in order to provide certain types of "care" for patients. No doctor should be forced to refer a patient seeking MAID or an abortion to someone who will perform that procedure. If patients insist on pursuing such options, they are free to do so through other means. The lack of value for human life in this country is more than disturbing. When the government is determined to do away with citizens who present extra financial costs to the system, it should be opposed. Doctors should not be obligated to pollute their souls or betray their ethics. Taxpayers should not be forced to pay for such procedures.
