Doctors took the hippocratic oath that as an individual they would care for each patient as he or she required to the best of their ability. Referring a patient is only is required when special equipment is required or specialized training. I do not agree with the policy the College of Physicians and Surgeons is trying to implement because it takes away the rights of doctors to treat their patient as he or she deems necessary. This policy will destroy the intimacy and trust required between the patient and their physician. I disagree with this policy because it is dictatorial and destructive and takes away from the rights of doctors and patients.
