- Registrar & CEO Selection Committee: Earlier this year, Council accomplished a major feat and fulfilled one of its most important responsibilities: selecting CPSA’s next Registrar & CEO. After an extensive national search, Council selected Dr. Colleen Forestier, who will be joining CPSA in September following Dr. Scott McLeod’s retirement. Since the Committee has completed its designated work of securing a successful candidate, CPSA Council officially dissolved the Ad Hoc Registrar & CEO Selection Committee at the May meeting. More details about the search and selection process are included in the Council dossier package, which is publicly available on CPSA’s website.
- Waiving of fees for physicians completing their residency and fellowship in Alberta: Council approved to waive the fees for physicians completing their residency or fellowship in Alberta between July 1, 2025, and June 30, 2027. This includes the $800 registration fee and the first annual fee of $2000. Learn more about this change here.
- Diagnostic Imaging Standards: Council approved changes to the v4 Diagnostic Imaging Accreditation Standards. Stay tuned for more information in the August Messenger.
