You may be aware that CPSA holds elections to fill upcoming regulated member vacancies on CPSA Council. At the end of 2026, one regulated member Councillor will finish their term on Council, which means CPSA will hold an election this fall to fill the vacancy.

Nominations for the 2026 election took place in the spring and, ahead of the election, it’s time to meet the four candidates vying for a seat on CPSA Council.

When is the Council election voting period?

The voting period will run from Thursday, Oct. 1, 2026, until 11:59 p.m. MT on Friday, Oct. 30, 2026.

How do I know if I’m eligible to vote in the Council election?

All regulated members on CPSA’s General Register, Provisional Register or Limited Practice Register (whether a physician, surgeon, osteopath or physician assistant) who are in good standing may vote in the election.

How do I vote in the Council election?

You will cast your vote in the CPSA Portal starting Oct. 1. We strongly encourage all eligible regulated members to participate in the election by voting.
