MSF360: allow us to re-introduce ourselves
Back to MessengerRead time: 2 minutes
For more than seven years, the Medical Council of Canada (MCC) has offered MCC 360 to physicians across Canada as a professional development program. With a focus on using multi-source feedback to identify opportunities for growth, many health professionals have participated in MCC 360 to grow their medical practice and meet their quality improvement goals.
When the MCC discontinued MCC 360 in 2025, CPSA acquired the program’s intellectual property. We are pleased to re-introduce MCC 360 under a new name: MSF360.
New name, same valuable program
MSF360 gives physicians an opportunity to evaluate their practice through self-assessment, while also reflecting on anonymized feedback gathered from patients, colleagues and co-workers. Multi-source feedback offers a 360-degree perspective on which to base improvements and professional development, so physicians can enhance their practice and provide patients with the best care possible.
“Multi-source feedback offers health professionals a clear, more complete understanding of how their practice is experienced by patients, colleagues and co-workers,” says Kristopher Rebman, Senior Program Manager for MSF360. “By bringing these perspectives together, MSF360 supports meaningful growth, strengthens communication and teamwork, and ultimately contributes to safer, higher-quality care. MSF360 reflects our shared commitment to accountability, continuous improvement and excellence in professional practice.”
What does this mean for you?
MSF360 meets the requirements for the Physician Practice Improvement Program (PPIP) personal development activity and offers an innovative approach to supporting practice improvement. CPSA is covering the cost of the program for physicians who voluntarily sign up for MSF360 to improve their practice. If you would like to sign up, please contact us at ppip@cpsa.ab.ca to ensure that no fee will be charged to you.
Physicians may also be selected by CPSA’s Continuing Competence team to participate as part of ensuring ongoing competence in practice.
If you were previously selected to participate in MCC 360 but were unable to complete the requirements before the program was discontinued, you will be automatically enrolled in MSF360—watch your CPSA Portal for more information.
