Since the Physician Practice Improvement Program (PPIP) launched in 2021, more than 70 per cent of physicians have self-reported completion of all three PPIP activities. Thank you for your dedication to practice improvement and commitment to high-quality patient care.

Physicians are asked to report their progress in PPIP annually on the renewal information form (RIF). The Continuing Competence team uses this information to create your annual, individualized PPIP Report, capturing how many PPIP activities you have completed so far based on your self-reported RIF data.

Your 2025 PPIP Report will be available in your secure CPSA Portal later this spring. Watch your email for details.

First five-year PPIP cycle ending this year

A reminder that your five-year PPIP cycle aligns with your continuing professional development (CPD) cycle through your national college. If your current CPD cycle ends in 2025, your first cycle of three PPIP activities must be completed by Dec. 31, 2025.

If you have questions around completing your PPIP activities, please reach out—we’re here to help.
