Annual renewal testers needed!

Annual Renewal, August Messenger 2025 | Posted August 14, 2025
Read time: 2 minutes

The 2026 annual renewal for physicians and physician assistants will be here before we know it. CPSA began our three-year annual renewal improvement plan last year, aiming to make your renewal as efficient, user-friendly and transparent as possible. Last year, we tried something that we had never done before—we asked practising physicians to test the annual renewal form before it was released to the rest of the profession. The feedback from these testers helped improve the form so significantly that CPSA noted a reduction of 783 hours spent on annual renewal completion across the profession compared to the previous year, and 80% of respondents agreed that the questions were clear.

Valuable feedback was also provided and has been taken into consideration for this year’s annual renewal improvements, including:

  • Improved form flow and question logic
  • Pre-populated responses based on your previous annual renewal inputs (where appropriate)
  • Added help tools for sections that prompted questions on past forms

Calling all testers!

Your feedback has been invaluable in improving the annual renewal process, and for the second year, we want to involve you in testing before annual renewal is launched.

We are looking for physicians and physician assistants from all disciplines and locations to take part in testing and contributing to annual renewal improvement. Each member’s renewal is unique to their practice, and we hope to reflect these perspectives by including members from varying backgrounds in this testing opportunity. Through this approach, we hope to identify challenges that may present for others in similar situations.

Here is some important information related to taking part in this valuable opportunity:  A purple line art image of a checklist and pencil

  • Testing dates: Testing time slots can be booked on Sept. 4 or Sept. 5 between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
  • Time commitment: Between 45-90 minutes, depending on the complexity of your renewal.
  • Where and how: Testing will be completed virtually through a video call with a CPSA team member. While screensharing, you will complete a sample of your 2026 renewal and then provide feedback to the CPSA team member who will be with you through the process.
  • Compensation: As a thank you for your time and feedback, we will provide you with $250 off your 2026 annual renewal fees.

We look forward to collaborating with testers again this year to continue improving the annual renewal experience.
