Indigenous Advisory Circle

Guiding physicians in providing culturally safe, equitable care and improving health outcomes for First Nations, Métis and Inuit Peoples in Alberta

About the Indigenous Advisory Circle

CPSA Council formally established the Indigenous Advisory Circle in December 2021. Since then, the Circle has guided CPSA on our path towards reconciliation, helping us to identify how we can better support Indigenous patients and guide the doctors—CPSA’s regulated members—who provide their health care.

CPSA is honoured to be guided by members of the Circle and we are immensely grateful for each member’s gifts of knowledge, time, and collaboration.

In 2022, we asked Dr. Tyler White and Dr. Nicole Cardinal about their hopes for the Indigenous Advisory Circle.
