The proposal to require referrals is an egregious violation of the freedom of conscience, Doctors should not be required to participate in any way with procedures they have a strong moral disagreement with. The Charter of Rights and freedoms enshrines first, as a fundamental freedom before any other right the freedom of conscience. It must be respected.
