Keep an eye on your inbox—your annual renewal will open before the end of July!  

CPSA will send medical students a notice via email from info@cpsa.ab.ca to inform you that your renewal information form (RIF) is ready to be filled out on your CPSA Portal. 

Once you receive this notice, complete your annual renewal by: 

1. Signing on to your CPSA Portal with your registration number and password. 
2. Completing your form by Aug. 31, 2026. 
3. Printing off your practice permit from the CPSA Portal three business days after you submit your RIF. 

Completing your annual renewal each year keeps your practice permit active so you can continue participating in your medical training program. It also keeps us in contact throughout your medical career to ensure we are up to date with your relevant information.
