Culture Crew Expression of Interest

Being part of Culture Crew means you have the opportunity to make a major impact at CPSA! How exciting is that?!

We are looking for team members who are solution-focused problem-solvers and who want to take initiative to make things happen.

We aren’t concerned with how long you’ve been here, or what your past experiences are – we are looking for humans with the right attitude, who are energized by sky’s-the-limit thinking, and who might as well have collaboration as their middle name.

The process

Deadline for Expression of Interest: March 14, 2025

All Expressions of Interest will be reviewed by the Culture Crew Co-Chairs and the Director of People & Culture. A maximum of 10 individuals will be invited to be part of Culture Crew.

We will follow up with all individuals who submitted an Expression of Interest by March 28.

This is the first section of the Expression of Interest that you should complete with your information. At the bottom of this section, there is a prompt to enter your leader’s email address so that they receive your responses and a prompt to complete their portion of the form. Once they complete their section, the completed form will be submitted for review.

Please be sure to review the Culture Crew Terms of Reference prior to submitting your application to ensure you understand the scope of the commitment.

What skills is Culture Crew looking for?

We are looking for team members who are solution-focused problem-solvers and who want to take initiative to make things happen. We aren’t concerned with how long you’ve been here, or what your past experiences are – we are looking for humans with the right attitude, who are energized by sky’s-the-limit innovation, and who might as well have collaboration as their middle name.

What kinds of initiatives does Culture Crew lead?

Culture Crew is responsible for bringing CPSA’s culture contributors together to help create a positive and fulfilling environment for CPSA’s team members. This is done by spearheading initiatives to enhance culture, engagement and the team experience. Some initiatives that originated from Culture Crew are CollabCafe, celebrating wins at team meetings, and the Collaboration Campaign.

How will Culture Crew help stretch my skills?

We want Culture Crew to be an environment where team members feel they can learn new skills and utilize skills they may not get to use as much as they’d like in their current role. For example, maybe you want to learn more about project management so ask the group if you could take the lead on managing CollabCafe to get some mentorship and experience in a safe learning environment. Or maybe in another life you worked in a print shop and loved collaborating with clients on their creative projects, but you don’t get to do that in your current role – Culture Crew is the space where you can flex or develop your skills while making an impact on CPSA’s culture.

Can two people from the same department apply?

Absolutely! While we would love to see all areas of CPSA represented on the crew, that is not our goal with this new approach. We are looking for folks who are self-starters, creative problem-solvers and who are committed to being culture contributors at CPSA.

If I was a previous member, can I still apply?

Yes! Everyone at CPSA is eligible to submit an expression of interest for the upcoming term for Culture Crew.

How long is the commitment?

Two years.

How much time will I need to commit to Culture Crew?

The Terms of Reference suggest it can be up to .1 of your FTE, which is 3.5 hours a week for most people. Of course, there will be times where that time commitment isn’t required, and other times where it is more than that.

What happens if I can no longer uphold the commitment and I need to step down?

Please let the Culture Crew Co-Chairs know so that they can re-open the Expression of Interest process.
