Before proceeding, please confirm that you meet the following eligibility criteria:
- You must currently be a member in good standing with the Professional Association of Resident Physicians of Alberta (PARA).
- You must reside in Alberta and be enrolled in a recognized Postgraduate Medical Education (PGME) program in Alberta throughout your time on the committee.
- A PGY-2 or higher is preferred (all specialties are encouraged to apply).
- An interest in physician competence, quality improvement and medical regulation is required.
- You are able to attend committee meetings (approximately three meetings per year, plus orientation and meeting preparation).
Candidates should demonstrate experience or interest in one or more of the following areas:
- Continuing professional development (CPD)
- Quality improvement
- Physician competence
- Clinical assessment
- Medical education
- Peer review
- Physician performance assessment
- Practice improvement
- Medical leadership
- Health system quality and safety
A current resume and two reference letters must also be submitted with your form.
