Requirements within the proposed standard
- Establishes professional obligations for regulated members participating, flexibly participating and not participating in dual practice.
- Clinical decisions required of regulated members to remain independent of financial considerations with an emphasis on equitable access to insured health services and transparency regarding fees and funding arrangements.
- Expectations for documentation and patient records that align with provincial electronic health information requirements.
- Clarification around expectations for continuity of care and follow-up.
