Learn more about what happens when you report a health condition on your RIF
Postgraduate trainees, like physicians, must renew their practice permit annually. This includes completing a Renewal Information Form (RIF), which asks you to report any health conditions that have negatively impacted your practice or could be likely to in the future.
We understand this can potentially cause some anxiety, but obtaining this information is important and helps CPSA’s Physician Health Monitoring Program (PHMP) provide you with all the support you need to take care of yourself and maintain the quality of your care. This is especially true as we enter the third year of navigating COVID-19 and given the ongoing toll the pandemic has had on our healthcare system.

When you renew, please pause to reflect on how you are doing and take steps to look after yourself.
