What are the financial commitments as a sponsor?

Application costs: Once the application to sponsor a physician position is deemed complete, CPSA will reach out for a non-refundable sponsor application fee of $200 (+GST).

Ongoing costs: Costs to support the successful physician candidate can range up to $100,000 and could include incentives, relocation support, a stipend during assessments, work permit support, site visit costs, etc.

Practice Readiness Assessment (PRA) fees: PRA fees (taxes included) are paid by the sponsor and cover the cost of the assessors’ time and any expenses they incur related to the assessment. See our PRA fee schedule >
