What is the TPP Atlas?
The TPP Atlas is an interactive, open-source online tool that provides summary data on the prescribing and dispensing of TPP-monitored medications across Alberta. Learn about navigating the summary data provided through the TPP Atlas here.
Why is the TPP Atlas an important resource?
- Tracks provincial prescribing and dispensing trends: The TPP Atlas provides prescribers, healthcare professionals and policymakers with in-depth analyses of prescribing and dispensing trends at a regional and provincial level.
- Informs clinical and policy decision-making: The TPP Atlas plays a key role in guiding clinical decision-making, policy development and program planning with summary prescribing statistics to support better health outcomes for Albertans.
- Encourages prescriber self-reflection: While the TPP Atlas data does not provide direct clinical guidance, it intends to encourage physicians to reflect on their prescribing patterns in the context of broader trends and best practices.
