Updated Advice to the Profession documents

The Episodic Care Advice to the Profession document has been updated to clarify the responsibility of primary care physicians to continue caring for their patients—regardless of episodic care—and the expectation that the episodic care and primary care physicians work together to manage a patient’s care (point 5, page 4).

We have also updated the Responsibility for a Medical Practice Advice to the Profession, to provide example scenarios for physicians working in PCN settings (see Scenario 4 (page 8) and Scenario 6 (page 10)).

If you have any questions or feedback you’d like to submit ahead of the consultation, or if you’d like to participate in future pre-consultations, please send an email to consultation@cpsa.ab.ca.
